Female American Goldfinches tend to be yellow-brown instead of bright yellow.
Asian Golden Weaver
The Asian Golden Weaver or Ploceus hypoxanthine is a bird native to swamps and grasslands.
They can reach 8.5 inches in size. Like the American Goldfinch, their color varies depending on their sex.
Females are darker yellow-brown, whereas the males are black and yellow.
The males are a different color to attract female Asian Golden Weavers for mating purposes.
